What your day will look like Lead, mentor and grow a team of backend engineers by setting technical direction, coding standards and best practicesOwn the architecture and technical design of enterprise web applications on AWS, from concept to productionMake key decisions on technology, scalability, security and cost, and balance short-term delivery against long-term maintainabilityWork with Product, QA, DevOps and business stakeholders to turn requirements into realistic plans and timelinesLead code reviews, design reviews and technical discussionsDrive the use of AI-assisted development tools and workflows across the team to improve productivity and qualityAct as the escalation point during production incidents: lead root-cause analysis, coordinate fixes and put preventive measures in placeFind and reduce technical debt, and keep improving engineering processes (CI/CD, testing, observability)A Computer Science or Software Engineering degree, or equivalent experience8+ years of backend development experience, including 2+ years in a technical lead or team lead roleDeep expertise in Node.js (Nest.js, Next.js or Express) or Python (Flask or Django), and in NoSQL databases (MongoDB)Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise web applications on AWS, with strong knowledge of API Gateway, Lambda, Cognito, Amplify, Application Load Balancers and ECS/EKSHands-on experience building secure, scalable AWS architectures using VPCs, IAM security policies, Kubernetes, Docker and MongoDB AtlasDemonstrated skill with AI tools for development, and the ability to help a team adopt themExperience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and monitoring/observability toolsA track record of mentoring engineers and building a strong engineering culture .
